What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.
I can’t exactly remember what year it was when I heard the term Community Supported Agriculture but I do remember it was instant love. Community Supported Agriculture is when an individual or a family makes an investment into a local farm by buying a share. All farms are different but generally a couple of share options are offered, such as an individual share or a family share.
When you buy a share you are buying into that seasons harvest receiving weekly amounts of produce, dairy, meat and or other farm products throughout the season. One of the reasons why I love CSA’s is the farmer gets to make a direct link with their neighbors and community along with gaining financial sustainability for the season.
What is an Herbal CSA?
Based on the same concept as a CSA for produce we will be offering a wide range of hand crafted organic medicinal herb preparations and herbal infused body products. Through supporting an Herbal CSA you are supporting small farms run by individual herbalists who specialize in the craft of herbal medicine making on a small and intimate scale.
These shares are mail order shares and this is for a 5 month long share. The time of the year doesn't matter you can sign up at any time.
Each month you will receive:
1 1 oz tincture
1 1 oz salve or medicinal oil
1 3 oz bag of tea
1 1/2 oz Flower Essences
Each month you will receive an extra item from the following categories depending on the season and what is available:
Elixirs/ Syrup
Herbal Vinegar
Herbal Body Creams/ Herbal Face Scrub
Smudge

Also included in your share will be herbal recipes and information on the herb of the month ex: the herb for June is Nettle and July will be Rosa Rugosa. I will also be sending you information on the products that you have chosen.

Tea of the Month Club
This concept is loosely based off of the Herbal CSA that I am offering except this membership is for tea blends only. You will receive 1 bag of tea each month for six months with information on the herbs used to create the blend and the traditional uses for the herb along with instructions on how to use the tea blend.
All of the teas are made by me using a mix of all organic herbs that I have either grown or ethically wild harvested or outsourced.
Some of the choices you will have are:
Lemon Squeeze Honey Love * Love Your Lungs
Daily Nourishment * mint MINT mint
Spring Cleaning * 3Mushroom Chai
I hand harvest all of the parts being used from the plants in small quantities at there peak and immediately process and all of my herbal preparations are handcrafted in small batches ensuring the quality and the integrity of the plant.

All of the tinctures are made with Organic Grape Alcohol making the tinctures free from genetic modification and hypo-allergenic. It does a fabulous job extracting the the medicinal constituents from the plants and I have found that it also creates a clearer tasting medicine.
